EV Adoption Could Cause Energy Grid Blackouts

Almost all EV components come from China, Consumer Energy Alliance President David Holt points out. He adds that it isn't just components, but raw materials are also largely controlled by China, such as cobalt mining, and that there are environmental and humanitarian issues associated with procuring EV raw materials. He worries that policymakers pushing for EV adoption are not considering supply issues and the infrastructure needed for EV chargers to prevent blackouts and brownouts.
