Fed Will Keep Hiking Rates Even If Unemployment Rises

"FOMC expects a recession to squash inflation. Not only will the Federal Reserve keep hiking and then keep interest rates high throughout 2023, but it will also do so even if the unemployment rate rises. Price stability is a long way off and maybe the peak terminal rate as well," says Jeffrey Cleveland. The stock market continued to sell off today as recession concerns loom.
