How Omicron Could Impact Global Markets

Investors should expect higher volatility in 2022 versus what markets have seen over the previous two years in addition to potentially lower annual returns says Ahmed Riesgo. This is due to rising cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, which because of higher stock valuations and the current monetary policy are posing a different economic situation than when the Delta variant was first making headlines. Riesgo says he still sees opportunity in market pullbacks, however, and stresses the importance of having a balanced investment portfolio.
