Markets ended the day lower as geopolitical events in the Middle East continued to escalate. The S&P 500 (SPX) declined 0.94%, the Nasdaq-100 (NDX) fell 1.09%, and the Russell 2000 (RUT) dropped 1.79%. MongoDB Down 22% After Earnings
MongoDB delivered a clear beat in Q4, with revenue of $695.1 million up 27% year over year, ahead of consensus expectations, and adjusted EPS of $1.65 also topping estimates. However, the outlook tempered investor enthusiasm. Q1 FY27 guidance came in slightly light on EPS, while full-year revenue guidance was modestly below consensus despite adjusted EPS tracking slightly above expectations. Management highlighted solid go-to-market execution and continued Atlas momentum, though noted that AI features are not yet a material growth driver and that the consumption-based model limits visibility into the back half of the fiscal year.
President Trump Announces Support for Oil Tanker Insurance
President Donald Trump ordered U.S. support for oil tanker insurance and signaled that the Navy could escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz as escalating Middle East conflict disrupts shipping and drives oil prices higher. The move aims to stabilize energy markets amid rising war-risk premiums that have increased insurance and shipping costs and constrained crude flows through a key global shipping route. WTI Crude finished the session up over 4%.
