Oracle Commits to Raising $50 Billion for Data Centers
Oracle (ORCL) announced plans to raise between $45 billion and $50 billion to expand data center capacity in support of its cloud infrastructure customers. The capital raise will be a mix of debt and equity, including convertible preferred securities. The company also expects to issue senior unsecured debt in the coming months. Oracle shares closed lower on the session following the announcement.
Continued Selling Pressure in Silver
Although today’s selling pressure in silver was less aggressive than Friday’s, trading volume remained relatively elevated as traders and investors continued to de-risk. Strength in the U.S. dollar and rising long-duration yields have kept silver’s implied volatility at elevated levels.
