
Market Week in Review: 10 Stocks with Sales, Margin Growth
With the market near all-time highs, oil prices rising, bond market turbulence, and uncertain tangible results from the U.S.-China summit, positioning is a challenge.
The week brought a new era at the Fed, confirmation that President Xi Jinping is coming to Washington in the fall, and positive feelings between the nations, if nothing else.
So, we read through a list of S&P 500 companies circulating this week that reported the greatest first-quarter growth in revenue and profit margins. We then compared our coverage to the list published by MarketWatch.
Looking at the companies ranked by operating margin growth, technology rises to the top of the pack, but energy and materials names are represented.
