U.S. stock futures are slightly higher in premarket trading after U.S. equities posted a strong start to the new trading month.

Tech is leading today after over 10% gains in Palantir (PLTR) post-earnings on strong 4Q financial results and upbeat guidance. The moves come after a solid start to February with a broad-based rally on Monday.

Focus will be on more earnings today with results due from PepsiCo (PEP), PayPal (PYPL), and Merck (MRK) this morning and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Chipotle (CMG) after the closing bell.

Investors will also look for any progress on the partial government shutdown today, which has delayed some jobs data this week.
