U.S. stock futures are relatively flat ahead of the Wall Street open following a big rally to record highs to start the week. 

All of the major indices closed at record highs on Monday as investors cheered cooling tensions between the U.S. and China ahead of a highly-anticipated meeting between President Donald Trump and China President Xi Jinping on Thursday. 

Earnings will be in focus today with rallies in UPS and PayPal (PYPL) after their quarterly reports. Investors will also focus on the Fed meeting, which begins today, along with more positive trade news with Japan ahead of the China discussions.

• Oil (/CL) – Oil prices are down 1.5% near $60.50 a barrel, extending falls from the two previous sessions, as pressure from plans by OPEC to boost output offset optimism over a potential U.S.-China trade deal.
• Gold (/GC) – Gold prices are down another 2% near $3930 and remain below the $4,000-per-ounce level as a firming dollar and expectations of a thaw in U.S.-China trade tensions.
• Bitcoin (/BTC) – The Crypto Future is down 0.4% near 114,600 in premarket trading.
• VIX – The CBOE Volatility Index fell 3.5% on Monday and settled at 15.79 as stocks rallied to record highs.
• U.S. Dollar (/DX) – The dollar is basically flat at 98.5.
