Markets are modestly up in early trading, with S&P futures (/ES) up about +0.1% as investors look toward two major potential catalysts in today’s Jobs Report as well as a potential Supreme Court ruling about the legality of the Trump administration’s tariff policies.

President Trump also made headlines for saying in a social media post that he directed $200B of purchasing mortgage bonds with few other details, and additionally for canceling a second round of attacks on Venezuela after saying their cooperation has improved in terms of rebuilding oil & gas infrastructure.

Meta Platforms (META) signed a deal to purchase 6-plus gigawatts of electricity from Vistra (VST) and to support future reactors from Oklo (OKLO).

Earnings season kicks off again next week, with notable names including Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), JPMorgan Chase (JPM), and Delta Airlines (DAL).
