U.S. Futures Flat After More Chip Stock Pressure

U.S. stock futures are flat in premarket trading as investors awaited key employment data that could influence Federal Reserve monetary policy decisions.

The data comes after investors pared chipmaker shares Wednesday, pushing major indices lower.

The June jobs report is set for release at 8:30 a.m. ET. Analysts expect about 115,000 jobs were added last month, a decline from the 172,000 jobs created in May. The unemployment rate is forecast to have stayed at 4.3%. Markets are closed Friday in advance of the 4th of July holiday.
