Wall Street heads into the first week of November driven by a potent mix of high-stakes political events, crucial economic data, and major corporate earnings.

The marquee event will be Friday’s October employment report, with payroll growth, unemployment and wages likely to play an important role in expectations for the Federal Reserve’s next move. Before that, investors will get several additional reads on economic momentum: October ISM Manufacturing stats are scheduled for Monday, while JOLTS and ISM Services data arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

Corporate earnings will provide another major catalyst. Apple’s (AAPL) Q4 earnings are due on Monday, Nov. 2 after the close, keeping megacap technology and AI-related spending firmly in focus. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) reports on Tuesday, Uber Technologies (UBER) on Wednesday morning, and Airbnb (ABNB) on Thursday afternoon.

This week should give investors some clarity on a couple of key points: whether corporate profits remain healthy and whether the economy and jobs are at a pace that keeps the Fed on a balanced path.
