Week Ahead: Big Week for Economic Data and Tech Earnings

It might feel like a sleepy last week of summer, but traders have a full week of economic data ahead with the capstone event being the Employment Situation Report Friday.

Also important: job-related data including JOLTS, ADP Private Payrolls, Productivity and Costs, and Initial Jobless Claims. Manufacturing data releases this week include the Dallas Fed Manufacturing Index, S&P Global Manufacturing, ISM Manufacturing, and Factory Orders.

Following Nvidia (NVDA) earnings last week, technology sector earnings are prominent again, with major names reporting, including Broadcom (AVGO), Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Dell Technologies (DELL), Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE), and Ciena (CIEN). Other notable names include Lululemon Athletica (LULU) and Snowflake (SNOW).

Additionally, MSCI equity indices will be rebalanced at the close on Monday, Aug. 31.
