Raul says the earnings call "will be crucial" for investors to get some clarity from the company's leaders and more insights on Hims &amp; Hers next steps. Matt Calkins, CEO of Appian (APPN), spotlights their latest quarter. “We just closed a terrific year,” he says as the stock rises in Friday trading. “We’re really hitting our strategy, which is AI-first, big-deal centric,” he adds. Matt argues that Appian is the perfect company to help CEOs find use and benefit from AI, and that the company is figuring out how to monetize their AI features. He also explains why Appian won’t be hit by the SaaS-pocalypse.

Andrew Graham joins Diane King Hall at the NYSE to react to the latest economic data. He suggests the government shutdown impacted the figures and points to higher frequency data as a better indicator to track when it comes to inflation. Andrew says he's following the "bigger market" looking at the outsized moves in precious metals and single-stock volatility. On the rotation trade, he sees "legs to it" believing the broadening out occurring in markets might pause for a couple weeks of consolidation before moving higher. Stocks Andrew is watching include Eli Lilly (LLY), Coherent (COHR), Amphenol (APH) and Arista Networks (ANET).

Jharonne Martis says the consumer is "relatively healthy" but very "discerning." She says shoppers are looking for promotions or discounts before making a bigger purchase. Jharonne says AI assistants are helping consumers make decisions, citing Walmart's (WMT) Sparky AI enabling a "seamless omnichannel experience." For remainder of 2026, she says consumers are showing signs of gravitating towards experiences rather than goods. On the retailers, Jharonne is watching Dillard's (DDS) and Five Below (FIVE) as names that could outperform in the year ahead.

John Luke Tyner looks at the subcategories within the PCE print to back up his view point that the "inflation trend is moving in the right direction." He later postulates the potential thinking of FOMC members as they prepare for a leadership change post-Jerome Powell's tenure. John highlights the shelter component of inflation data continuing to come in higher, but he believes that will come down.

Later, Joe reveals how AI capex spending will show up on some parts of the economic data but he suggests investors dig deeper into the various layers below the top-line numbers.

Bitcoin (/BTC) has been searching for levels of support but Nate Peterson says the next level of support is still below current levels. He and Jenny Horne discuss the chart of Bitcoin and Ethereum (/ETH) with Nate pointing to the 200-week simple moving average as the next marker to pay attention to if the selloff in Bitcoin continues. Later, the duo discuss Goldman Sachs (GS) CEO David Solomon discussing crypto investing and CME Group's (CME) announcement about 24/7 crypto trading.

Sal Gilbertie says gold and silver prices are being driven up by fears around conflict between the U.S. and Iran. His firm, Teucrium, specializes in agricultural commodity ETFs, and Sal calls grains a strong diversifier for portfolios. “The agricultural commodities are almost impervious to demand shocks,” he notes, and demand has climbed significantly over the last 60 years. He digs into soybeans, corn, and wheat and their cost of production, along with weather risks.

Scott Russell, CEO of Nice (NICE), breaks down their latest quarter as the stock makes a strong move upward. Nice offers AI agents to companies to “elevate customer experience.” He says Nice is the market leader in both digital and voice and sees further strong growth in 2026. “AI is a tailwind for our business.” He thinks that AI needs to continue to prove itself to customers and the public, and he is confident in Nice’s ability to do so with its own tools.

Ed Siddell breaks down the latest economic data, noting that durable goods orders are higher and arguing the economy is heading in the right direction. “We just have to show a little more affordability.” He likes Kevin Warsh as a Fed Chair nominee, calling him “very hawkish on inflation” and anticipating lowered rates. Ed thinks we could be 75-100 basis points lower by the end of the year. He remains a “goldbug” and sees a buying opportunity in precious metals; he’s also long nuclear.

Eric Pan walks through money market flows, noting that a great deal of money still remains on the sidelines. He says this shows a “lot of potential” in the marketplace and talks through why retail investors are staying cautious right now. “A lot of Americans are doing exactly what they should do right now,” he says, as they rebalance portfolios and diversify.

Many of the software names getting rerated to the downside deserve the reevaluation, says Shay Boloor, though he believes some got beaten down more than others. He sees some playing critical roles in multiple layers of the AI "stack," from Palantir (PLTR) and Palo Alto Networks (PANW), to Cloudflare (NET) and Snowflake (SNOW).

Erin Sykes and Alex Barron dissect Toll Brothers (TOL) earnings, with the stock falling after the report. Erin says Toll Brothers benefits from being a luxury homebuilder, noting that the $20M+ market where she’s based is “going gangbusters” vs the rest of the sector. She expects a more stable housing market going forward.

For rate cuts, he expects 1-3 this year, explaining how a midterm election pressures rates up and down during the course of the year.

Williams: AI Sentiment Moved From 90% Positive to 90% Negative

Ben Emons paraphrases Fed speakers discussing the real impact AI will have on the labor force in the USA. Looking ahead to the upcoming FOMC minutes release, he's expecting to read Fed members in favor of holding off on a rate cut for the foreseeable future. Ben's also awaiting Friday's PCE report, admitting a 3.0% level could be clocked in the upcoming report. He explains his rationale for rates to go higher, watching any rebound in the beaten-up software stock group as an indicator to track.

Emons: AI Story Not Just a Tech Story

Nic Puckrin (@CoinBureau) stops by Morning Movers to look at this year's selling in Bitcoin. He posits that Bitcoin may have preceded the tech sector selling pressures and examines how the crypto assets behaved compared to other asset classes. Nic says $58,000 would line up with the 200-day moving average and indicate a bearish market trend for Bitcoin on a technical basis.
