'Stressed Consumer' = More Labor Strikes Ahead

“Walmart is the exception that proves the rule,” says Brad Conger, because everyone wants to distribute through WMT, which then reinforces the narrative that consumers are budgeting and sticking to lower-cost stores. He says the consumer environment is very stressed and expects more labor strikes in response. He is also worried about China’s consumer demand despite the recent stimulus announcement.
