“Travel is robust, but booking websites are struggling a bit. International travel, traveling for work, booking a hotel, flying for leisure, and taking a trip social media mentions are up year-over-year. Vrbo, Booking.com, Expedia purchase intent mentions are also all up year-over-year. However, Pirceline.com is down 20% for the same time period. Airlines have gotten much better for consumers that are searching for flights directly,” says LikeFolio’s Andy Swan.
