Reid l’Anson argues that top line growth in the economy looks ok, but the K-shaped economy is creating a widening disparity between the upper and lower income segments. Reid also looks at the Chinese economy as the U.S./China trade war continues, noting that they are repeating an investment-led growth playbook we’ve seen before. “My view is they will find a way to get this excess into the international market.” However, he notes that a lot of the investment is in the EV sector, and talks about how that changes the energy demand picture.
