Hawaiian Electric (HE) Down 65% This Month After Maui Wildfires

Traditional regulated utilities are down the least (WEC, PEG, LNT, AEE, SO, EIX, PCG), while those utilities with pending asset sales (ES, AEP, DUK) and renewable programs (NEE, NEP, AES, AGR) are down the most, notes Tim Winter. He discusses the outlook for Hawaiian Electric (HE) after the Maui wildfires. HE is down over 65% this month. He then goes over how the utilities sector is down over 9% year-to-date. He talks about the Gabelli Utilities Fund (GAUIX) which has a history of providing reduced volatility and lower risk returns versus the S&P 500 Utilities Index.
