Humana (HUM) and Cigna (CI) are in talks for a blockbuster merger, according to the Wall Street Journal. Both sides are talking a cash and stock deal which could be finalized by the end of the year. The combined company would rival UnitedHealth (UNH) and CVS Health (CVS) in scale. HUM and CI have a combined market value of approximately $145B. Caroline Woods discusses this along with General Motors (GM) which announced at $10B buyback. GM also reinstate is guidance following the resolution of the UAW strike.
