However, this will erode demand and could cause a “lot of people to stop flying.” He advises people against booking “long-range” tickets, instead waiting until the trip is closer. Right now, airlines are losing money because they’re flying presold tickets, he adds. “Low cost carriers are particularly vulnerable.”
