January ETF Inflows Hit $165B, Records Led by International, Tech, Silver

January ETF inflows hit a new record of $165 billion as the vehicle continues to grow in popularity. Jillian DelSignore of Nasdaq notes that this is bigger than the previous three Januarys combined. International led the way with $70 billion as investors rotate abroad, and she thinks we will see that trend continue. They have seen “significant” activity in QQQJ, the Nasdaq’s ‘Next Gen 100’ ETF. Silver-based ETFs are also gaining; Jillian argues that this is an “allocation” rather than a trade. Autocalls are becoming more common as well.
