Thomas: U.S. Consumers 'Shopping with A Lot of Intentionality'

Katie Thomas says consumers are making thoughtful tradeoffs in their day-to-day shopping, using more options and discount stores to provide savings. She says "you have to look brand by brand" to see where consumers are making changes, using Brinker International (EAT) as an example with its Chilis restaurant chain offering deals for its customers. "Food, groceries and restaurants" are among Katie's top consumer trends she's tracking.
