“The big picture’s still pretty good,” says Rob Williams. He expects decent growth for the year, along with 1-3 rate cuts from the Fed. While the job market could get a “little uglier,” he notes that it doesn’t take that many jobs gains to keep unemployment where it is. He’s overweight equities and likes small caps, looking for valuation opportunities. He also is watching international equities and bank stocks. For fixed income, he doesn’t want to take “extra credit risks” and favors securitized assets.
