The Dow Jones ended the week barely changed, while the Russell 2000, S&P 500, and Nasdaq-100 all ended higher, along with five of the eleven S&P 500 sectors. Cruise ships were the biggest winners this week with both Carnival (CCL) and Norwegian (NCLH) closing more than 13% higher on the week as cruise lines anticipate a holiday travel boost. A.I. was a big theme for the week as AMD (AMD) and Alphabet (GOOGL) both put forward new products. Google on the other hand had mixed success with its announcement of its Gemini A.I. model. Paramount (PARA) shares closed 12% higher today on reports that the media company is considering a sale or partial sale to Skydance Media and RedBird Capital.
