Stock Market Today: Crude Oil Hits Another Low, Airlines Close Higher

The Dow Jones, S&P 500, Russell 2000, and Nasdaq-100 all ended higher today, along with 9 of the 11 S&P 500 sectors. Crude oil dropped more than 5% today, the largest one-day drop since September 23, 2022. It’s also the lowest closing price in five weeks. The big four airlines closed higher today, despite price targets at Citi. The analyst said there’s a mismatch of condition happening including higher oil prices, the softening of major economies, and stubborn U.S. dollar strength.
