Cisco Systems (CSCO) plummeted although earnings beat, markets traded on the company cutting its full-year 2024 guidance. Walmart (WMT) fell during the trading day on a surprise guidance cut and warning about softer consumer spending. After the close, Applied Materials (AMAT) reported earnings and revenue that beat analysts' estimates, yet shares were impacted as a criminal investigation looms over the stock.
