Stock Market Today: Fed Leaves Rates Unchanged, CSCO Acquires SPLK, UAW Expands Strike

The Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, and Russell 2000 all ended the week down, along with all eleven of the S&P 500 sectors. The Federal Reserve left rates unchanged this week and left the target range for the Federal funds rate at 5.5%. Cisco (CSCO) agreed to acquire Splunk (SPLK) for $157 per share in cash, which values the company at $28B.
