U.S. Rate Cut vs Japan's Rate Hike

Last night the Bank of Japan voted to keep rates unchanged. Their August meeting led to a rate increase that led to a Yen carry-trade that created extreme volatility in U.S. markets. The U.S. cut rates higher than some expected, but global markets held steady. @CharlesSchwab's Michelle Gibley looks back at August's hike in Japan to explains why volatility didn't accelerate this time.
