UAW Strike & TSMC Concerns About Slowing Chip Demand

The UAW strikes are targeting three U.S. assembly plants. The President reacts to the strikes noting that auto companies record profits are because of the ‘extraordinary skill and sacrifice’ of UAW workers. The three plants that are currently affected are General Motors (GM0, Ford (F), and Stellantis (STLA). Caroline Woods discusses this along with the TSMC report that is weighing on suppliers and semiconductor stocks. TSMC told suppliers to delay some deliveries as it has some concerns about slowing chip demand. According to Reuters, TMSC is ‘increasingly nervous’ about demand from customers.
