What TJX Earnings Strength Says About Economy

Patrick McKeever recaps TJX Companies (TJX) earnings and examines the retail sector. He calls it a “very good fourth quarter,” noting strength across all of its divisions, share buybacks and a dividend hike. He thinks the stock has fallen due to conservative guidance, but says it’s typical of the company to underpromise and overdeliver. Trade is still a big wild card, but overall he thinks the retail sector is in a decent spot.
