AT&T (T) To Create A Standalone Cybersecurity Business

AT&T (T) has an agreement with WillJam Ventures to create a standalone cybersecurity business. AT&T realigns its security portfolio to become a more simple and focused company and managed security is a lot of consulting which isn’t AT&T’s sweet spot, notes Roger Entner. He talks about how AT&T continues to provide managed security to existing clients. He highlights that AT&T will retain ownership stake and board seats in the new entity and will continue to offer managed security services. He then goes over headwinds for telecom stocks.
