The FOMC leaves target range for Fed funds rate at 5.25%-5.50%. The Fed notes that recent indicators suggest that economic activity has been expanding at a solid pace. This is the Fed saying that we think that everything is generally okay, and we think that the economy can sustain and do fine with this level of interest rates, notes Scott Ladner.
