General Motors (GM) is to lay off 24% of its Cruise workforce. 900 employees are to be laid off and 9 “key leaders” were dismissed Wednesday following a safety investigation. The layoffs come after an October 2nd incident where a pedestrian was dragged 20 feet by a Cruise self-driving car. GM has suspended all robotaxi trips on public roads.
